Claudine Garcia Burke, better known by her stage name ‘Garcia Da General’ is a rapper from St. Mary Jamaica and raised in the UK. With her mother being a choir instructor in Jamaica, Garcia was brought up around music and therefore started to pursue singing in church at the age of 5. Garcia began writing music at age 13 however, only started rapping in late 2019.
“Being a rapper was never planned however, that path chose me. I always felt like something was missing in my music until I discovered I could rap. It was like rap broke my silence and created a pathway to express my emotions”
